Overview
Pangani is a historic town on the Indian ocean cost in Tanzania.it is one of the oldest coastal dhow ports in Tanzania which later became a station on the slave and ivory exportation caravan route. Later on, during the colonial period, when sisal plantations were established in Tanga, it became a major port. Pangani has beautiful, serene beaches, palm trees, white sand and crystal-clear water. the beaches are punctuated by mangrove forest and rivers which flow into the ocean. Slightly offshore there are sand banks ideal for picnic lunches ad well as very beautiful coral reef, perfect for snorkeling.
