Overview

Katavi National Park is in western Tanzania and is a top spot for safari fans. It is a relatively untouched wilderness famous for its varied wildlife and beautiful landscapes. The park lies on a high flood plain surrounding Lake Katavi, south of the Mahale Mountains. It is home to some of the largest herds of buffalos in the world.
