1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings made with Twombili Tours Company Ltd., a family-owned adventure travel company based in Mbeya, Tanzania. By booking a tour, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. The primary client (the individual making the booking) accepts these terms on behalf of all travelers named in the booking.
2. Privacy and Data Protection
Twombili Tours is committed to protecting your privacy and managing personal information responsibly. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your data in accordance with our privacy policy.
3. Booking, Deposits, and Payments
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total tour cost is required to secure a booking.
Final Payment: The balance must be paid no later than six weeks before the tour starts. For bookings made within six weeks of departure, full payment is due upon confirmation.
Payment Instructions: Provided via email, all payments must be made free from bank fees or transaction surcharges.
4. Booking Agreement
A booking is confirmed when Twombili Tours receives the deposit and sends a written confirmation. The client must:
Be at least 18 years old.
Provide accurate personal information.
Obtain necessary consent for group bookings.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
Client Cancellations:
61+ days before departure: Loss of deposit
60-45 days before departure: 40% of total cost
44-29 days before departure: 75% of total cost
28-7 days before departure: 90% of total cost
Less than 7 days before departure: 100% of total cost
Company Cancellations: If Twombili Tours cancels a tour for reasons other than non-payment or force majeure, clients may choose:
An alternative tour of similar value (subject to price adjustments if necessary).
A full refund of all payments made.
6. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, evacuation, repatriation, cancellations, and personal loss is mandatory for all clients.
7. Prices, Surcharges, and Taxes
Prices are subject to change due to external factors such as:
Accommodation costs
Fuel prices
Taxes and government fees
Clients will be notified of any significant increases. If surcharges exceed 10% of the total tour cost, clients may cancel without penalties within 14 days of notification.
8. Itinerary Changes
Twombili Tours reserves the right to adjust itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances including:
Weather conditions
Political unrest
Mechanical issues No refunds will be provided for unused services caused by such changes.
9. Assumption of Risk
Adventure travel involves inherent risks, including potential lower safety standards compared to clients’ home countries. By booking, clients acknowledge and accept these risks.
10. Special Requirements
While Twombili Tours will make efforts to accommodate special requests (e.g., dietary preferences), these cannot be guaranteed.
11. Complaints & Disputes

12. Liability Limitations
Twombili Tours is not liable for losses or damages arising from:
Client negligence
Acts or omissions of third parties
Force majeure events (e.g., war, natural disasters, pandemics)
Theft, loss, or damage of personal belongings
13. Intellectual Property
All content, logos, and trademarks on Twombili Tours’ website are owned by the company and protected by intellectual property laws.
14. Travel Documents
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, visas, and vaccinations as required by destination countries. Twombili Tours is not liable for any issues resulting from incomplete or invalid travel documentation.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Tanzanian law. Any disputes arising from bookings or services provided will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Tanzanian courts.
16. Amendments
Twombili Tours reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Clients with existing bookings will be notified of changes, and the updated terms will automatically apply unless a written objection is submitted within two weeks of notification.
